Morning Light on the Lily (Big Sur)

$200.00

This original Calla Lily was created after photographing this beautiful flower with its spider friend along the coast of California in Big Sur. This was a special moment from my first trip up the coast of California and I wanted to preserve that memory forever in a painting.

The air was crisp that morning, and there was a light mist in the air. I took a morning walk around camp with my steaming cup of coffee, and soon the golden light started to shine through the trees. Shiny droplets clung to spider webs, and I noticed the tiniest little spider resting peacefully on the edge of a calla lily flower. I took a photograph with my macro lens, and that later became the reference photo for this special painting. This was pure morning magic on my first trip to Big Sur.

This is a 5 ¼ x 6 inch signed original acrylic painting on a wooden panel. I created this with nature and the environment in mind. The wood was sourced from someone's leftover pieces of a project and I gave it a second life.

Option to put a hand made wooden frame around the canvas (keeping an open face) for an additional cost. Please contact me if this is something you want!
